We really didn't do anything today. We cleaned this morning (remember this, it will be important later), then we went to the grocery store and after dinner we went to the gym. The kids love going to the gym. There is a huge play structure and it gives them interaction with other kids.
So, the move has been a lot harder then I was prepared for. I know that I am not being the mom that I want to be, and the kids certainly aren't acting the way I want my kids to act. But to be honest, I just don't have the patience and energy to do anything about it. I will be the first to admit that I have lost control, and I am not sure yet how to fix it. I didn't anticipate Corey working as much as he is. In my mind, we moved here and everything was shiny and happy. I still think that it will be good for our family but we have to settle in first and I forgot that part. Today, I was so thankful that I paid the extra money to have the kids go to the gym with me. It gives them a chance to run around and gives me a little break. The kids and I are together ALL the time. I have no break and to be honest, there are days that I am jealous that they have each other to play with. Okay, enough of that.
So, I find that I have a lot of Owen stories and I think that it is because he is such a STINKER! Today, I really don't know what went on.I thought he went poop in my bathroom, but a few HOURS later, Kenley comes to me and says that the (white) towel in their bathroom (the hand towel) had poop on it. I thought maybe it was just some dirt, so I didn't run right over to check it out. Then Bailey comes out carrying the floor mat, and says that IT has poop on it. I look, and sure enough, there is a HUGE streak of poop on it. Then I look at the hand towel (that he had HUNG back up) and it is covered in poop, with an actual chuck of poop on it. I asked if he did it and he admitted it. I asked why, and he said he wiped himself. Awesome! There was poop everywhere (remember, I had cleaned the house.) I would show a picture, but my camera battery was dead so I couldn't take one. Just another fun day for me!

Ok, here we go...
I am going to try this AGAIN. Now that we don't live nearby, I feel the need to write down what is going on with us because I can't always remember when I am on the phone. This will probably bore everyone but grandparents and aunts (and uncles), but feel free to read if you wonder what is going on with us.
Today I attempted the highway for the first time! Very intimidating, with the 6 lanes and all, but I made it safely and it wasn't so bad. We went to Tempe to Arizona Mills and then the Tempe Beach Park. The mall was huge! There was a huge aquarium there and the kids loved it. They got to touch a starfish. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe and they can't wait to go back with daddy. The Tempe Beach Park had a huge Splash Park and that was really fun for them. Especially since the temperature was about 115! Wow, that is hot!
Owen is taking his job as man of the house very seriously. This is the conversation we had at dinner. I sat down with my food:
Owen: Mom, don't forget to say prayers.
Me: I won't Owen. (Fold my hands, bow my head and say a silent prayer.)
Owen: That is not a good prayer, you have to say, Help daddy have a safe day at work. (Pauses) Mom, try again.
Me: Oh, thank you for letting us have a good day.
Owen: No! Let daddy have a good day. TRY AGAIN.
Me: Okay. Please let daddy have a good day.
Very long pause were he studies me very intently.
Owen: Okay, that is better, I guess.
He is so funny. Today at the Rainforest Cafe, Kenley said she had to go to the bathroom and Owen said, "I will take her mom." Okay, the 3 yr. old is going to take the 5 yr. old to the bathroom.
The only pictures I have are on my phone, I will try to get a smaller camera to take better pictures. I will make it a priority. In the meantime, I will work on figuring out how to get them on my computer from my phone.
